2017 Spirit of MVL

MVL is blessed to have a great number of people in our family, all with a heart for Christian education. The Spirit of MVL events are designed to bring this family together in thanksgiving.

This special evening was held on Saturday, November 18 at the Best Western Conference Center in New Ulm.

Recognition Reception

The Recognition Reception began at 4:00 P.M. with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and a recognition of this year’s recipients: Jon Enter, Mark and Vivian Smith, and Perry Meyer.

Please join the MVL family in thanking these individuals for using their time, talents, and treasures to the glory of God and to the benefit of Christ-centered education. Soli Deo Gloria!

Each year’s recognition recipients are selected by a committee. You can nominate a 2018 Recipient by filling out this form.

Fundraising Gala

The fifth annual Spirit of MVL Gala began at 5:00 P.M. The night’s theme was “Partnering for the Future” and included delicious food, live entertainment, and the opportunity to bid on fabulous silent and live auction items. This year’s keynote speaker was Peter Bloedel, professor at Bethany Lutheran College and MVL parent.

The main focus of the evening, of course, was raising funds for classroom technology and for the MVL Partnership Fund!

Thank you to all who were a part of this exciting night!

2016 Spirit of MVL

Both the Recognition Reception and the Fundraising Gala took place at the Best Western Plus, New Ulm, with the Recognition Reception beginning at 4:00 PM. The 2016 Spirit of MVL recipients were Bob Dittrich, Mae Tacke, and Kevin Hulke.  MVL thanks God for the blessing of these individuals who have given of their time, talents, and treasures.

“Light Up Our Hearts for MVL” was the theme for the fourth annual dinner auction and Gala, with a focus on gym lighting for fine arts events and the MVL Partnership Fund. The evening began at 5:00 PM. with beverages and a delicious assortment of appetizers.  Mr. Dan Johnson, president of Wisconsin Lutheran College, messaged the importance of the Christian education MVL provides, and encouraged generous giving!

Attendees listened!

The proceeds of the evening, $36,200, will be divided between the MVL Partnership Fund – completing the education costs for 36 students ($500 per student) – and new gym lighting to be used for fine arts events.

Soli Deo Gloria!
