The MVL softball program consists of 2 teams-junior varsity (made up of mainly freshman and sophomore girls) and varsity which may consist of those deemed ready for higher level competition from 9th-12th grade girls. Our season begins in mid-March and runs until the the MSHSL State Tournament the second week of June. (Caswell Park-Mankato)

We play fastpitch softball but we have many girls who come into our program with a slowpitch background. The fundamentals of defense remain the same as the major focus for transition is in the area of batting and game strategy. We feel confident that the girls will continue to have fun while refining their skills in many facets of the game.

Congratulations to the 2017 MVL Softball team. The team was honored by the 2017 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as an All -Academic Team. In order to qualify, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. The MVL team had a cumulative GPA of 3.687! What an achievement! These young ladies are excellent examples of what it means to be a student athlete.

Congratulations to all the individuals from the softball team who were named All-Scholar Athletes by the NFCA:

Brynn Alfred, Hannah Biedenbender, Stephanie Dalueg, Lexi Fischer, MacKenzie Helget, Sarah Kramer, Brynja Mielke, Tatiana Parker, Lauren Paulsen, Grace Peterson, Brianna Sanders, Christina Santelman, Elizabeth Trebelhorn and Hannah Zibrowski
